just a shameless plug

i frequetly check the vg cats website. it's one of the funniest online comics i've ever read. here's a link to one that had me nearly falling out of my chair laughing. consider the theme to be "revisiting childhood". enjoy!

further response to "Microsoft Help in China"

this is a continuation of my comment on my friend shem's blog blackbox.

i first noticed the depth of china's control with the lack of copyrights. (i may be totally off on this but just bear with me. this might be good...) by not allowing individuals to apply, obtain, or have any sort of ownership of their creative ideas/products they almost eliminate any one niche in the market from controling any more of that niche than anything else already within that niche. (make sense?) if one product is far more popular than another, that first product "controls" more people. that's power over people that the government doesn't have, and as we all know... that can't happen! we cannot allow people to be controled by anyone but us! makes sense to me sometimes then others i just don't get it.

Judas Framed!?

recently i learned of a story about "the gospel of judas". very facinating. NPR this is a link to the story. i tried shape my thought's into an understandable flow of words... but the only shape i came up with was writer's block. so check out the link and maybe one of the comments will spark insperation.

god?

i listen to lots of public radio, and in doing so i hear a lot of political topics. also i have paid close attention to the amount of religous influence in the federal government. i beleive i may of come up with a reason for mr. bush's confusion with "god". i think that if there is a christian god, it most likely is not a republican. it probably doesn't have a political party. i think perhaps that mr. bush is actually insane, and when refering to god, he is actually refering to a republican god. just something i thought of the other day.

time

about this time change thing. what's the need anymore. it was started so that farmers would have "more time" to farm their fields. we have this invention called a h-e-a-d-l-i-g-h-t now. it's an amazing thing! it lights up an area in front of us so that we can see in the dark. what a concept. perhaps we should think about doing away with this idea of "daylight savings time" once and for all. yes the president has said he wants to do this slowly over the next few years but like most of his ideas it's to slow. time is relative to ones position in it. a great man said that. and it's true. the faster one travels in the 3 dimensions of space the faster time is percieved to move. there is a simple experiment one can do with 2 digital stopwatches. have one person stay in one location and another person drive in one direction for a set amount of time then turn around and return. now before departing start the stopwatches at exactly the same time. when the person who left returns there will be a slight difference in the watches.

back to what i was saying before. daylight savings time is out dated. it's time has long past and it is time to move on.

laws of man

this is in reference to a friends blog http://www.blackboxentries.blogspot.com/.

why do we the "law"? fear of the consequences. that's all i can think of. obviously some laws are there to represent ideas that we all share. killing is bad. wait... killing isn't bad. we send off troops to other countries to kill and give them medals to do so. religion caused more deaths since it's mass acceptance. so i guess it's as long as you have a good reason to kill it's okay. although i'm sure many of the "psychopathic" killers will tell you that they have some damn good reasons for killing people.

um... hi....

this is the start of my blog. it was started with a recomendation from a friend. out drinking and discusing this, that, and many other things when i was told i should write this stuff down in a blog so here we are. check back often, just not too often. i do have other things to do. not that writing a blog and reading blogs isn't something to do it's just that... uh... lost my train of thought... yeah that happens a lot. anyway, enjoy!
